Why do we not score the first few games in the U10-U12 divisions?
In the first few weeks we want coaches to move players, tryout new ideas and not have the pressure associated with keeping score.  After a number of games we then capture the scores in these divisions and take the final number of points for a team to seed the teams into the end of season Spring Tournament.

U8   - round-robin play for 9 weeks. No Scores. No Play Offs. If uneven Teams,Play themselves that week (selfPlay)
GU10 - 5 teams round-robin, no Score for 4 weeks, then Score 5 weeks, Seeded into Tournament.

What do I do if I am a coach and need to change a game time?
We have spent a lot of time managing out Head coach conflicts and scheduling games to open field times. Please keep your allocated times.  If you really have no choice but to change you will need to connect with the opposing coach and find a mutually convenient time to play the game then reach out to scheduler@lnysa.org.  GIVE LOTS OF NOTICE ! DO THIS WELL IN ADVANCE.   Please also notify the refs of any changes by contacting ref@lnysa.org

Are the team sizes smaller this Season?
Yes, as part of the the new player development initiatives mandated by USSoccer you will see that the size of the teams at the U6-U11 ages is smaller and that the field sizes have changed.  For more information on this review the USSoccer small sided games mandates or contact the LNYSA Coach Admin Staff coach@lnysa.org
